Demo Church

East Charlotte · Launching September 13

A new church is taking rooton the east side.

First gathering: Sunday, September 13, 10:00 AM

Eastway Demo School · 1500 Demo Ave

We gather for the first time in43 days, 0 hours, 52 minutes

We're a handful of families who've lived on this side of town long enough to love it and to notice what's missing. Starting in September we're gathering on Sunday mornings to sing, to read the Bible together, and to figure out what it looks like to actually be good to our neighbors. There's no building yet and no program to plug into. Mostly there's a table and room at it.

What Sunday is

10:00 AM, every Sunday

About seventy-five minutes. Coffee before, nobody rushing you out after.

Eastway Demo School

Free parking in the back lot. Enter through door 3; someone will be standing there.

Kids are welcome

Nursery through 5th grade, in a room down the hall. Or keep them with you. Both are normal here.

What we're about

I

The Bible, taken seriously and read out loud.

We'll spend most of our time in it. You don't need to have read it before.

II

A church for this neighborhood specifically.

Not a franchise. The people here get to shape what this becomes.

III

Doors that actually open.

If you've been burned by a church, or you've never set foot in one, you are exactly who we built this for.

Who's starting it

Andrés Delgado

Planting Pastor

I've lived three streets from Eastway for nine years. I'm not doing this because East Charlotte needs one more church. I'm doing it because the people I already know here don't have one they'd walk into.

Come on the thirteenth.

Or come to something smaller first. Until then we're having dinner at a house every other Thursday.
